K. Wade Carpenter, CFP®, AIF® ChFC®, CLU®

Senior Partner

As a senior partner of Infinitas, Wade takes a comprehensive approach to the financial planning process. His role as an advocate for his clients can be best summarized by his personal mission statement: "To educate my clients as to their options and alternatives so they can make informed decisions and be the best stewards of their resources."

As an Investment Adviser Representative with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, he has demonstrated a consistent ability to protect and grow the hard-earned assets of his clients. While having a broad-based understanding of the financial services industry, Wade has chosen to focus his energies on working with business owners, professionals, and executives. His experiences with these clients have helped him to be attuned to their unique needs.

Wade graduated from Central Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification (CFP®), the Certified Family Business Specialist designation (CFBS), the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), and the Chartered Life Underwriter® designation (CLU®); he is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Wade also has served on the board of a local nonprofit organization, Community LINC, and the Epsilon Iota chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa. He has served on the finance committee and is currently serving on the personnel committee at his church.

Wade values education as a way to promote professional excellence and sets himself apart by staying current with regard to ever-changing tax, legal, and financial issues.

While not working, Wade enjoys reading, golfing, and traveling with his wife, Stephanie, and their three daughters, Kristi, Courtney, and Cassidy.

As a founding partner of Infinitas, Tim DiSette brings nearly three decades of experience in employer-sponsored retirement plans, wealth management strategies, and business contingency planning. Tim’s broad and comprehensive financial expertise helps individuals and businesses grow, preserve and protect their assets.

Retirement Plan Design

Tim leads the firm’s retirement plan consulting team, which creates and manages employer-sponsored plans. Passionate about helping people prepare for their financial future, he dedicates much of his time to meeting with plan participants to discuss strategies for achieving their retirement goals.

Wealth Management Expertise

Tim advises wealth management clients on a range of financial matters including the estate tax, retirement investments, insurance, gifts, as well as charitable contributions. In addition, Tim was raised in a family business, which gives him a unique appreciation and understanding of business continuity and succession planning.

Industry Involvement and Awards*

For the past six years, Tim has served on the Commonwealth Financial Network Retirement Advisory Council, which helps guide the broker/dealer’s-RIA's retirement advisory practice. This is an invite only board comprised of a distinguished group of 25 retirement plan experts.

In 2016, 2017, and 2018, the Financial Times selected Tim for its 401 Top Retirement Plan Advisors. He’s one of only five Kansas advisors picked for the honor, which recognizes those who specialize in defined contribution plans. In addition, under his leadership, the National Association of Plan Advisors selected Infinitas for its 2017 list of the nation’s top retirement planning teams. Earlier in his career, Tim was named the Greater Kansas City Financial Planner of the Year.

Charitable Endeavors

Tim has taken more than 10 mission trips to Honduras. He started a scholarship fund at a school in Ciudad Espana to help the city’s at-risk children get an education. In addition, Tim’s held leadership roles on his church international missions leadership team, as well as on his church’s endowments and finance committees.

Tim often speaks to national and regional organizations about retirement, wealth preservation, and estate planning, as well as business contingency planning. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Tim is married and has three sons.

Ray Evans, CFP®, AIF®

Ray set out to create a unique and personal approach to wealth management when he founded Pegasus Capital Management more than 25 years ago. His dissatisfaction with the one-size-fits-all approach in his industry led to the creation of a firm that brings together a customized team of specialists. Today, Ray serves high net-worth clients and their families, offering a suite of services to help those families and businesses reach their objectives.

Ray is a big supporter of the University of Kansas where he currently serves as a trustee on the board of the KU Endowment.  He is also serving on the advisory boards for KU’s Edwards campus and for the KU Medical Center Cancer Partners. He is also the past Chairman of the National Board of Directors for University of Kansas Alumni Association. Ray was recently recognized with the Ellsworth Medallion Award by the KU Alumni Association for all his work for the university. He also supports many charitable organizations including Catholic Education Foundation, Higher Impact, and the Keith Worthington Chapter of the ALS Association.

In addition, Ray adds the title of author to his many roles. He has written articles for the Kansas City Business Journal and Wealth Resources and contributed to the book You Can't Afford the School of Hard Knocks.

Ray received a BS in business and an MBA from the University of Kansas. Ray enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and their three children.

With a consulting background that spans decades, Bruce Glenn is a trusted resource to the business owners he advises on retirement plans. He’s chief investment officer of the Infinitas 401(k) practice leading the research, growth strategies, and asset management. In addition, Bruce uses his investment expertise to help clients meet their financial goals.

Bruce spent nearly twenty years consulting hospitality businesses on market analysis, turnaround plans, and concept roll-outs. The business owners he works with today appreciate his first-hand knowledge of the challenges they face.

Multi-faceted approach to retirement planning

When advising clients, Bruce looks at their entire financial picture and tests their portfolios against different scenarios. He draws on his consulting experience to educate clients and ensure they feel confident in the plan for meeting their financial goals.

Previously, Bruce was with Edward Jones, where he counseled clients and trained new advisors in the region. During his time with the company, Bruce was the most awarded advisor in the area. He started his financial services career at Citigroup/Primerica.

Bruce is also a 401(k) consultant to a top benefits law firm, as well as to worker’s compensation and Department of Labor attorneys.

Industry accolades and designations

He’s earned numerous honors during his career including the Founder's, Vista, and Summit Club awards presented by Commonwealth. He’s also been selected multiple times for a Kansas City Five Star Wealth Manager award. 

Bruce is one of a few nationally to have the Certified Behavioral Financial Analyst designation, which looks at the emotions of investing. He’s an Accredited Asset Management Specialist, and a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist, which reinforce his retirement plan expertise.

He earned his designations from the College of Financial Planning, and the Allianz Global Investors Center for Behavioral Science. He attended Northwest Missouri State University and has a business degree. Bruce also founded the ABEL group, which is a mastermind of business consultants, and he often speaks about the economy, financial markets, and behavioral finance topics.

Bruce is married and has two daughters and four grandkids. His daughter, Kristina Strickland, and his son-in-law, Ryin Brandt, are both part of his financial advisory practice. Bruce is writing a book on navigating financial bumps in the road. In his free time, he enjoys working out and used to water ski, bowl, and arm wrestle competitively.

Randy Johnson, CLU®, ChFC®, ChSNC®, AIF®

As an Investment Adviser Representative with more than 15 years of experience, Randy has demonstrated the ability to help his clients grow and protect their hard-earned assets. He is driven by a passion for working with individuals and their families to identify their financial goals and then help them develop a written financial plan to achieve them that is clear, concise, and easy to implement and understand. Randy always aims to educate his clients, so they are well informed about how to grow, protect, and distribute their wealth, and he meets with each client at least once a year to ensure that an existing financial plan is adjusted appropriately to any changes in the client’s or family’s life circumstances.

Randy received his undergraduate degree in business administration, with an emphasis in finance, from the University of Kansas. He then went on to obtain his MBA from Rockhurst University. He holds the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®),  and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designations.

Randy lives in Overland Park with his wife, Mindy; son, Brayden; and daughter, Grace. 

David Pacer, CFP®, CRPS®

For nearly two decades, David Pacer has encouraged clients and business owners to focus on fundamentals, rather than emotions, when making financial decisions. In addition to investments, private wealth management, and employer-sponsored retirement plans, he has significant expertise counseling business leaders in the building and construction industries.

Track record of recognition

David’s been an active member of the Associated Builders and Contractors trade group for nearly 15 years and is the only advisor endorsed by ABC to provide the Prevailing Wage Solution. This service analyzes the retirement benefits offered by members and identifies ways to keep their labor costs low. David’s proficiency with Prevailing Wage led to him being quoted in a financial news story about the one-of-a-kind service.

For the past decade, David’s been selected for a Kansas City Five Star Wealth Manager award.

The recognition is presented to advisors who meet ten eligibility and evaluation criteria related to client service, industry knowledge, and compliance.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Eastern Illinois University. David earned his Certified Retirement Plan Specialist designation from the College for Financial Planning, and his Certified Financial Planning accreditation from The American College. He is an active member of the Kansas City Financial Planning Association.

David is married and has four kids. His family volunteers at Happy Bottoms, the Kansas City nonprofit that provides diapers to those in need, as well as for KC Pet Project and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For nearly 20 years, David’s been a drummer in Sunnyside Down, a local rock-and-roll band.

Jerry Perfect CFS®, AIF®

Prior to joining Infinitas, Jerry was the founder and owner of Gateway Wealth Management. His career as a financial advisor spans over 25 years and speaks to his commitment to always put his client’s needs first. While working in all phases of wealth management, his focus is on helping clients in or near retirement, to assess how best to negotiate this critical life event.    

Jerry graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a BS in psychology. He joined Shearson Lehman Hutton (SLH), now Morgan Stanley, in 1987 and was awarded SLH’s Certificate of Achievement for superior performance. After leaving SLH in 1990, Jerry started and operated Property Consulting Services, a very successful real estate appraising, consulting, and property management company. He sold his partnership interest in December 1995 to found Gateway Wealth Management, Inc., formerly Wurzer and Associates, Inc., as managing partner.

Jerry feels that his extensive training and experience with a major Wall Street brokerage firm, as well as his years as a successful business owner, have prepared him well to serve as a financial advisor. Jerry holds FINRA Series 3 (Commodities), 7 (General Securities), 24 (Registered Securities Principal), 63 (Uniform Securities Exam), and 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser) securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®. Jim Stanziola JD, ChFC®, AIF®

As an attorney specializing in tax avoidance strategies and wealth preservation, Jim Stanziola enjoys advising business owners and families on how to achieve financial independence by optimizing the value of their companies and investment portfolios. For more than 25 years, he’s counseled affluent clients on business succession and estate plans, wealth management, and retirement.

Estate and business planning expertise

Previously, Jim was the principal of his own financial advisory firm, focusing on the needs of high net worth clients and business owners. Prior to that, he spent 20 years as an advisor with Lincoln Financial Network, developing strategies to enable clients to maximize their wealth and minimize their tax liabilities. In addition, he trained other advisors on complex areas such as buy/sell agreements, financial modeling, and business insurance.

Jim also led the legal and compliance department for B.C. Christopher Securities Co. and provided estate planning and business succession advice as an advanced underwriter for Central Life Assurance Co. He started his career auditing trust departments for the Iowa Department of Banking.

Jim is a licensed attorney in Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa. He provides pro bono legal counsel to juveniles in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri. He graduated from Drake University School of Law with a specialization in estate planning and tax and earned his bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Vermont.

An avid runner and swimmer, Jim completed the Boston Marathon twice and has run in more than 300 distance races. He’s won his age group five times since 2011 in the Mid-America region racing competition series, and he’s training to set the state marathon record for his age group. Jim and his wife Lori have been married for more than 30 years and they have three children. 

Jeffrey Tudas, CFP®, MBA

Jeff’s process provides for personalized guidance, designed to align appropriate action to offer the confidence you deserve. The foundation of his practice is best captured in his mission statement: “To simplify financial matters for clients so that they can pursue their dreams.”

Jeff spent 22 years in various technical problem-solving roles within a specialty chemical company before establishing himself in the financial services industry over 15 years ago. His research-centered focus helps provide clients with a comprehensive plan for their overall goals.

Jeff graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He also obtained his Masters of Business Administration from Rockhurst University. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.

He and his wife MaryBeth have three grown children: Jessica, Blair, and Ryan; and their fourth child, Sean, attends the University of Kansas pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys playing tennis and fly fishing.

His philanthropic commitments are focused on helping active duty military personnel, veterans, and their families. This focus is based upon Jeff’s deep respect for the men and women who preserve our freedom. It honors his father’s service during WWII and Ryan’s current service as an officer in the United States Marine Corps as a UH-1Y Helicopter pilot.

Brent Caswell’s clients range in age from 15 to 93. Regardless of when they plan to retire, he looks at each client’s complete financial picture to develop a strategy for saving, investing, and building wealth. Brent also partners with business owners to create their retirement plan offerings, and to design succession plans that ensure the continuity of their business.

Brent has nearly 25 years of fiscal management, investing and estate planning expertise. He previously was an advisor for US Bank and started his financial planning career at Edward Jones.

Nonprofit background shapes advisory approach

For more than 15 years, Brent served on the leadership teams of nonprofit organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America, KC Hospice, and the American Diabetes Association. His time consulting nonprofits shaped how he approaches his financial advisory practice. Brent appreciates that clients invite him to join the conversation about their financial goals. He strives to first listen and understand what they want to achieve, before offering solutions.

Brook Deaver, CFP®, MBA

As a financial advisor, Brook feels privileged to play a significant role in his clients’ lives as they each travel their unique financial path. He strives to build long-term relationships based on mutual trust. Brook focuses on educating clients on appropriate investment and planning strategies and takes pride in offering objective advice.

Brook has been providing financial advice and investment management services to clients since 2003. He began his career in 1992 with Gardner and White, where he specialized in the design, implementation, and servicing of employee benefit plans for hospitals, nursing homes, and physician practices. From 1995 to 2003, Brook was a financial analyst and managed financial/business analysts for several Fortune 500 companies.

Brook received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in 1992. He completed his MBA at the University of Kansas in 2000. Brook holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional certification. He holds FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) securities registrations. Brook was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. He currently resides in Overland Park, Kansas, with his wife, Suzanne, and sons, Ryan and Jonathan. Brook and his family are active in their community and church. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and consuming finance, business, and investment information, playing basketball, and trying to break 90 on the golf course!

James Heeney, AAMS®

Advisor

Jim returned home to Overland Park in 2013 from Wichita after spending 30 years there, half with Koch Industries, and half in the investment business starting with AG Edwards in 1999. He joined Pegasus in 2014, following a talk with longtime college friend Ray that they would one day share an office. Jim graduated KU with a BS in business administration and also played baseball. He continues to enjoy working with families on their wealth management. Jim acquired his AAMS degree from the College for Financial Planning in 2006.

Jim’s parents and siblings are all in the Kansas City area, as well as one of his three adult children. He loves being back close to family, friends, Lawrence, and the Royals. Jim has a love for the outdoors and enjoys running, biking, hunting, and fishing. He supports Johnson County 3&2 and Ban Johnson baseball organizations and is a board member for University of Kansas K-Club.

Scott Herz

Scott Herz has spent his entire career in the financial services industry, having started in the business before graduating college. For more than 20 years, he’s advised companies and individuals on their employer-sponsored retirement plans.

Qualified plan expertise

His holistic view makes him a trusted advisor to businesses identifying and selecting retirement plans. Scott’s deep-seated knowledge provides valuable insight to employees who need help understanding their plan options and managing their asset allocations.

Wealth management counsel

Scott also provides investors with strategies for growing and preserving their wealth. He advises them on their current investments and identifies other financial vehicles to help maximize and protect their assets.

Employer and employee education

Before joining Infinitas, Scott was a wholesaler of 401(k) platforms. He gained first-hand knowledge of different 401(k) plans and observed the best practices of top financial advisors from across the country.

Scott previously led a client education team for JP Morgan that advised plan participants. His group counseled FORTUNE 500 companies on 401(k) plan services and educated thousands of employees nationwide on their plan options and asset allocations.

Earlier in his career, Scott was part of American Century’s internal training team. He started with the company before his senior year in college.

Scott attended William Jewell College on a soccer scholarship and earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with an emphasis in computer science. Scott is married and has four kids, and remains an avid soccer player who competes in regular indoor and outdoor leagues.

Brian Watts, AWMA®

Advisor

I'm an only child who grew up in a neighborhood with no other children my age.  Unfortunately, I have no exciting stories of being a ruffian or daredevil.  (The stories of the neighbor's garage being set on fire are highly exaggerated.)

Fast forward to when I believe I became more interesting. In high school, I developed an insatiable appetite for education, which led to a degree from Pittsburg State University (Go Gorillas!) in biology.  Fortunately, this is not where that drive ended. Since graduation, I have continued to expand my education so I can help others create amazing lives and experiences in my role as Wealth Manager.  I've obtained the Accredited Wealth Manager Designation (AWMA) and am a current CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP)® candidate. While you may say, “so what?” it is important because not only is a high level of education important for your advisor; it is equally important that your advisor is focused on providing the highest standards of fiduciary responsibility working in your best interests.

Not all education has to be stuffy and boring. The client experience is something I am passionate about.  From our first conversation, walking in our office and continuing through every interaction we have. In order to ensure the highest level of service is provided, I have completed coursework and graduation from the Disney Institute. This exceptional level of client service is what you can expect in our relationship.

My family and I strive to live an experiential life rather than watch from the sidelines.  In my free time, I like to have fun (many people may not share my definition of fun). I used to race bicycles, finishing as high as 13th in the state of Kansas in road racing for 2014. If you ever wondered what it would feel like to cross the finish line after riding 100 miles in 115-degree heat, give me a call. Maturity and the addition of growing children have tamed my cycling habits to more leisurely activities.  

With both my career and my wife Jesse's high demand career as a Dermatologist, two active children, Aaron will soon be in middle school and Kate is in early elementary, experiences are paramount. Together we enjoy the arts, music and cheering on the other "Boys In Blue," Sporting KC.

Currently, Bob is the Infinitas sales liaison to companies across a variety of professional industries including construction, health care, manufacturing, and nonprofits. He strives to be an advocate for business owners and plan participants to ensure everyone succeeds.

With his broad background in operations and having the securities licenses that most advisors do, Bob’s insight is key to employers selecting plans and providers that benefit their employees and businesses.

Decades of operational expertise

Bob shifted to business development after 25 years in plan administration and recordkeeping at ADP/Expertplan, which was acquired by Acensus. At various points, he led all aspects of plan operations including the call centers and client support, contribution and distribution processing, quality control, reconciliation, sales, and marketing, as well as other service-related aspects.

He traveled the country extensively during his time with the company and saw first-hand the best practices of the nation’s top advisors. Recognizing these same positive traits in his colleagues at Infinitas, sparked his interest in joining the firm.

Bob has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in marketing, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He’s an avid outdoorsman who enjoys all things BBQ—from grills and tools to debating the best BBQ joints, to perfecting his ribs recipe. Bob is married and has one son.  

Grant Montgomery

Grant’s passion is to add financial value to family goals. He works with executives, professionals, business owners, military service members, and military veterans, helping them achieve their goals. As a team, Grant and Jeff Tudas work together to provide clients with financial planning advice that is personalized, comprehensive, and objective.

Grant is a 20-year United States Army Veteran where he served as an Officer in the Field Artillery branch. He earned numerous awards including the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Afghanistan and Iraq Campaign Medals. He continues to live by the Army Values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. He maintains his support to veterans and the military community as a member of local area veteran service organizations, such as the Association of the U.S. Army, Military Officers Association of America, and more.

Grant graduated from The University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor of science degree in computer science. He also holds a master of science degree in project management from University of Maryland University College. He is an Investment Advisor Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network and holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations.

He and his wife, Christina, reside in Blue Springs with their three children, Cassidy, Allison, and Jackson. During his free time, Grant enjoys spending time with his family and turning wrenches on cars. He has always believed in Dwight D. Michelle Poston, CFP®

Michelle has been with Infinitas since 2009. She focuses on life-centered financial planning as almost all decisions we make have a financial impact on our lives. Her passion is to help people through financial planning by understanding what motivates them, what makes them tick, who are the people in their lives that are most important, what concerns keep them up at night, and their top goals. Her ambition to always strive to improve oneself through life experiences and education transfers into her relationship with her clients. 

Being an avid saver, frugal spender, and financially minded individual she was able to pay cash for her first car purchase (she loved that little maroon Honda Civic) and purchased her own home at the age of 20. She worked full-time while attending college and graduated from UMKC with a bachelors in Finance and a minor in Economics. Shortly after that, she received FINRA licenses 7 and 66. In November 2016 she passed the CFP® board exam to become one of only 23% women CFP® professionals. Although many professionals may call themselves “financial planners,” CFP® professionals have completed extensive training and experience requirements and are held to rigorous ethical standards. They understand the complexities of the changing financial climate and know how to make recommendations in your best interest. Michelle completed the training and studying for the board exam over 2 years while continuing to work full-time and focus on her family.

After graduating Michelle married her boyfriend of 7 years and enjoyed a honeymoon at Niagara Falls then went right back to work. Had her first beautiful baby boy, Aiden, in 2008, was blessed with her second boy, Mason, in 2011, and in 2017 she had her third sweet baby boy, Sylas. Like most parents in the thick of it, she spends her evenings and weekends helping her 5th and 2nd grader with homework, taking them to flag football, basketball, or tumbling activities. All the while her one-year-old (who is sleeping through the night—yay!) is content to come along for the ride. Family is of the utmost importance to Michelle as she makes it a point to see extended family members regularly. As a teenager, she enjoyed photography and is trying to find time to take on that hobby again. They have two adopted dogs, 140-pound Turner (aka the horse) and 80-pound Hooch. Her husband insisted on the names. She exercises regularly for health and to keep up with her three boys. As a busy mom focused on a fulfilling life, she enjoys being able to positively impact the lives of her clients, family, and friends.

Jaime Rogers

Jaime began her career in the financial services industry in 1997 and brings extensive experience to Pegasus Capital Management as director of operations. She specializes in operational issues, investment assistance, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Prior to joining Pegasus, Jaime most recently worked for UBS Financial Services as a Wealth Management Associate. She was honored with the UBS Pursuit of Excellence award in 2012. She also served as an office and firm-wide training resource and mentor to other client service associates during her time with UBS. Preceding UBS, Jaime was a profit formula administrative manager with Wells Fargo Advisors (formerly Wachovia Securities) and operations manager at Fahnestock & Co. Inc. in Wichita, Kansas, where she holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations.

Jaime earned her BS in management with an emphasis in information technology from Baker University.

Kristina (Glenn) Strickland

Hi! I joined Bruce’s (Dad’s) team in 2013 and I am a second-generation financial professional. 

Growing up, I was very active in Girl Scouts and received my Gold Award, It is similar to the Boy Scout Eagle award. However, I think my Gold Award was a little easier than some Eagle Award stories I have heard! I also played softball as a pitcher for 15 years. While I don’t play anymore, I enjoy teaching my daughter Lorelai how to play and attending her practices and games. I was also a bit of a music “geek”. Beginning in sixth grade and all through high school, I played violin, cello, string bass and flute. I even met my husband, Shawn, in 10th grade Marching Band. He played trumpet, but I won’t hold that against him.

In college, I became very active in service-oriented projects like Habitat for Humanity, diaper drives, and feeding ministries. Today, I am very active in Micah Ministry - a feeding ministry that is open weekly at the Independence Boulevard Christian Church in the historic northeast, as well as teaching Sunday school at our church. Infinitas also participates in Johnson County Meals on Wheels; there are about twenty of us on the Infinitas Meals on Wheels team. I would like to volunteer more, but it gets hard with three small kids at home.

Speaking of home, I live in Liberty with my husband Shawn, our three kids (Lorelai, Theo, and Kennedy) and our two rescue dogs. Just to keep things interesting, we also have a pet tortoise named Java. I can’t recommend a better pet! The tortoise is very low maintenance, which is great for a busy schedule.

While I originally wanted to be a social worker, I find that financial planning is a great fit for me. I love getting to know our clients and their families. My passion is helping people, and I believe that helping individuals reach their financial goals is a great way to help! The impact of a good financial foundation can last for many generations. As a mom and a wife, I understand the daily challenges that can sometimes complicate our financial situations. That’s why I’m here - to help individuals coordinate their family life with their financial life. 

Christine Leyva, AAMS®

Christine joined as the Operations Manager in May 2017, supporting Wade Carpenter and his team. She began her financial career in 2009 at USAA in San Antonio, Texas, where she held roles in consumer lending and investment management and then at Fidelity Investments in Overland Park, Kansas, where she held a role in relationship management. Her past experience enables her to work effectively and efficiently while providing a high level of customer service and support.

Christine earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from MidAmerica Nazarene University. She holds both the FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations, as well as her Kansas Life and Health licenses. She has also achieved the Accredited Asset Management Specialist® designation from the College for Financial Planning.  

She and her husband, Robert, spend much of their time staying active in their two boys’ athletic, Scouting, musical, and church activities. In her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball, working out, music, and traveling.

Mike Ball

Senior Paraplanner

Mike joined as a paraplanner in December 2014. He assists with client service and ongoing portfolio maintenance, which includes trading, reallocating, and rebalancing accounts. Additionally, he helps clients with outgoing money request, preparing retirement plans, new account forms, and insurance applications.

Mike has been working in the financial services industry since May 2010. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and also holds Life and Health licenses for the states of Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. He received his BS degree in psychology from Kansas State University.

On the weekends, you might find Mike building and racing one of his R/C vehicles or in front of the grill. He enjoys spending time outdoors often cycling, fishing, and hiking. 

Susan Hill

Susan joined as a Paraplanner in February 2018. She assists with client service and ongoing portfolio maintenance, which includes trading, reallocating, and rebalancing accounts. Additionally, she assists clients with money movement requests, preparing retirement plans, and account service forms. She began her career in 2014 at Lockton in Kansas City, MO where she held various roles in commercial insurance and then at a financial planning firm in Springfield, MO where she held a role in client services.

Tammy Tetzlaff enjoys providing business owners and general managers with peace of mind and a clear understanding of complex retirement plan offerings. She has nearly 25 years of experience counseling company leaders on employer-sponsored plans.

Tammy’s expertise spans plan creation, administration, management, and employee education. She has decades of experience advising management teams and brings clients peace of mind with her knowledge of compliance and ERISA, the regulations governing corporate plans.

Previously, Tammy held plan design and sales leadership roles at Northwestern Mutual and the Hartford Company. Prior to that, she was with BKD, LLP and The 401(k) Company, where she oversaw administration and compliance for companies with plan assets ranging from $500,000 to more than $100 million. Her career started at Kemper Funds, where she was the administrator for more than 100 plans.

Catherine Hoefer

Catherine began working for Trinity Planning Group (now Infinitas) part-time in August 2016. She also works for another Commonwealth advisor full-time, since August 2007. Catherine holds a BBA in management science from the University of Georgia. After 17 years as a full-time mom to four fabulous daughters, she decided to reenter the workforce full-time in 2007. Before motherhood, Catherine was a systems analyst and computer programmer for NCNB Texas in Dallas. Her current responsibilities include maintaining the client relation database, preparing and processing new accounts, processing changes to existing accounts, and maintaining client files. She especially enjoys the wide variety of her responsibilities and learning more about the financial and insurance industries.

Sara Deterding

Client Relations Manager

Prior to joining Infinitas, Sara was the director of operations for Gateway Wealth Management, joining back in September 2000. Sara oversees operational issues, including new accounts, account transfers, customer service, account maintenance, compliance issues, and assures that the day-to-day questions from clients are handled in an expeditious and professional manner.

Prior to working with Gateway Wealth Management, Sara was operations manager for the retail company Eddie Bauer. She holds FINRA Series 7 (general securities) and 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) securities registrations as a registered sales assistant. Sara is also a Kansas Notary Public. Sara earned her bachelor of science from Central Missouri State University with a degree in business administration.

Sara and her husband, Kyle, live in Eudora and have three children, Tyler, Brynn, and Kyla. Sara is passionate about spending time with family and friends. She spends most of her free time supporting her husband who coaches at the high school level and her kids in their various sporting and school activities. Sara is also an active member of her church.

Ashley Goeken joined Pegasus Capital Management in 2014 as a client relations manager. She is responsible for handling client service issues, processing new business, and client communication.

Prior to joining Pegasus, Ashley worked for Wells Fargo Advisors as a client associate. Before working in the financial industry, Ashley was a claims adjuster with Farmers Insurance Group.

Kate Blatherwick Pickert

Kate is happy to call the Kansas City area her home after living in several spots growing up. She landed at Pegasus Capital Management in July 2007 as the firm’s relationship manager. She takes care of client communications and website coordination, as well as plans and implements client events and activities.

Prior to joining Pegasus, Kate worked in broadcast news for more than eight years. Most recently, as the 5:00 P.M. news producer at Kansas City’s KMBC 9 News. She left broadcasting after her first child was born, but not before she won the 2006 Mid-America Regional Emmy for the best newscast.

Kate comes from a long line of Kansas University Jayhawks: four generations. She graduated from KU with a BA in English and an MS in journalism. She holds a FINRA Series 7 securities registration (General Securities Representative) through Commonwealth Financial Network®.

Kate loves her volunteer work with her children’s school and is an active alumnae member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority where she serves as a trustee on the Pi Beta Phi Foundation. Kate lives in Lawrence with her husband and two daughters.

Alicia Hurley

Alicia earned her bachelor of civil engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. She has 13 years of experience in the construction management industry. Her family relocated to the Kansas City area in 2012 shortly after the birth of her second child. At that time she opted to become a full-time stay-at-home parent to better balance family and home life. Now that both kids are in school her schedule opened up so she joined as a part-time administrative assistant in January 2018.  Her responsibilities range from filing documents for compliance adherence, managing quarterly reporting and statements, processing changes to existing accounts, and maintaining client files. 

 

Alicia is an active volunteer with her kids’ school, a Girl Scout troop leader, and has held several positions on the board of a local mom’s club. In her free time, she enjoys walking, reading, and traveling.
