Kristina (Glenn) Strickland

Financial Advisor

Hi! I joined Bruce’s (Dad’s) team in 2013 and I am a second-generation financial professional.

Growing up, I was very active in Girl Scouts and received my Gold Award. It is similar to the Boy Scout Eagle award. However, I think my Gold Award was a little easier than some Eagle Award stories I have heard! I also played softball as a pitcher for 15 years. While I don’t play anymore, I enjoy teaching my daughter Lorelai how to play and attending her practices and games. I was also a bit of a music “geek”. Beginning in sixth grade and all through high school, I played violin, cello, string bass, and flute. I even met my husband, Shawn, in the 10th-grade marching band. He played trumpet but I won’t hold that against him.

In college, I became very active in service-oriented projects like Habitat for Humanity, diaper drives, and feeding ministries. Today, I am very active in Micah Ministry—a feeding ministry that is open weekly at the Independence Boulevard Christian Church in the historic northeast, as well as teaching Sunday school at our church. Infinitas also participates in Johnson County Meals on Wheels; there are about twenty of us on the Infinitas Meals on Wheels team. I would like to volunteer more, but it gets hard with three small kids at home.

Speaking of home, I live in Liberty with my husband Shawn, our three kids (Lorelai, Theo, and Kennedy) and our two rescue dogs. Just to keep things interesting, we also have a pet tortoise named Java. I can’t recommend a better pet! The tortoise is very low maintenance, which is great for a busy schedule.

While I originally wanted to be a social worker, I find that financial planning is a great fit for me. I love getting to know our clients and their families. My passion is helping people, and I believe that helping individuals reach their financial goals is a great way to help! The impact of a good financial foundation can last for many generations. As a mom and a wife, I understand the daily challenges that can sometimes complicate our financial situations. That’s why I’m here—to help individuals coordinate their family life with their financial life.
