Michael Orndorff

Mike Orndorff joined the Infinitas team in August of 2019 and brings more than 25 years of investment and business experience to the table.
Mike started his career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse where his audit clients ranged from national financial institutions to small and mid-size businesses and charitable organizations. He then transitioned his career to investments by joining Franklin Savings where he became a Senior Fixed Income Analyst. As part of the investment team, he helped manage a portfolio of more than $10 billion. His interest in equity investing led him to American Century. He initially served as Manager of International Research, overseeing the firm’s proprietary financial database and providing fundamental analysis for the international portfolios. He then joined one of the U.S. equity teams analyzing and co-managing more than $8 billion in assets.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Missouri and a master’s degree in management from Boston University. He is a holder of the CFA certification and a member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society Kansas City and ACG Kansas City. He served nine years as a director for the UCM Foundation including two years as Chair of the Investment Committee. He also served multiple years as a director of the CFA Society Kansas City.
Mike has long been an avid cyclist, having ridden over 2,000 miles one summer to Canada and around Lake Superior. More recently, he has participated in a number of local rides including the MS150, Bike Across Kansas and the DK100.
Mike and his wife Rhonda live in Overland Park and they have two grown daughters. They enjoy volunteer activities, listening to live music and visiting their daughters located in Washington D.C. and St. Louis.
